Changing Thumbnail Size And Quality

Some windows users like to use the thumbnail view, especially for browsing through photos and images. It can become a bit of a drain on your system. It is possible to lower the thumbnail size and quality by editing the following registry keys.

First, u need to goto Start, then run.

1. Type in regedit in the box.

2. Then, navigate to :

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ Software\ Microsoft \ Windows\ CurrentVersion\ Explorer

Create a new DWORD value called ThumbnailSize, and set the value between 32 and 256.

Navigate to C:\ WINDOWS\ System32

Step 3

Once there, there will be a file called: uxtheme.dll

Disable Recent Documents List

Windows XP monitors the files you open or use. And Xp stores this information in the
background just in case you need it. If you want to disable Recent Documents List Follow this simple steps:

1. Click the Start button then Click Run. Type regedit in the blank, and then click OK.
2. Then go to


3. The create a new DWORD Value and name it NoRecentDocsHistory

4. Then duble click and open NoRecentDocsHistory type 1 under the Value. Click ok and You are done.
