i just downloaded an archive with 8 parts and it contains an ISO file. i checked the file size and the 7 parts have the same 500,120 Mb and the last one is 180Mb. i did your tutorial with the 1st part and i tried to extract the rebuild.ffxpart 1.rar but it still says ! D:\rebuilt.Final Fantasy X 001.rar: CRC failed in Final Fantasy X.iso. The file is corrupt
    ! D:\rebuilt.Final Fantasy X 001.rar: Unexpected end of archive

Rename the file to original file name and try to extract it. It doesn’t work for ISO type file.. Because it contains only part of a iso file. If works on archive with multiple files.

    thanx for the post!!
i still have a prob though – after doing your tutorial the diagnostic says “no files repaired” and i also cannot select “extract without cobfirmation” -the text is just slightly grey and so i cannot use that option… =(

This trick worked for me to archive containing multiple files. You said you got “no files repaired” message.. I think your downloaded file is incomplete (corrupted archive). Try to download it again… or you can try some software like DiskInternals ZIP Repair Tool…
