Changing Windows Owner Name

To change Windows Owner Name edit the Windows Registry:

1. Click the Start button then Click Run. Type regedit in the blank, and then click OK.

2. Then go to
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > Software > Windows NT

3. Click the CurrentVersion registry key.

4. In the right window pane, double-click the RegisteredOwner

5. Then Edit RegisteredOwner to change the name of the owner.

Changing Default path For Installing Apps

you can change the default installation drive and/ or directory by using a Registry hack.

Go to:

1.Start > Run

Type regedit
Go to this directory…

3. Look for the value named ProgramFilesDir. by default,this value will be C:\Program Files. Edit the value to any valid drive or folder and XP will use that new location as the default installation directory for new programs.

Lock Folder Using Notepad

It worked for me hope it works for you too.

1) If you want to lock a folder named pocket in your C:\, whose path is C:\pocket

2) Now open the Notepad and type the following

ren pocket pocket.{21EC2020-3AEA-1069-A2DD-08002B30309D}

3) Where dark is your folder name. Save the text file as loc.bat in the same drive.

4) Open another new notepad text file and type the following

ren pocket.{21EC2020-3AEA-1069-A2DD-08002B30309D} pocket

5) Save the text file as key.bat in the same drive.

6) To lock the pocket folder, simply click the loc.bat and it will transform into control panel icon which is inaccessible.

7) To unlock the folder click the key.bat file. Thus the folder will be unlocked and the contents are accessible.
