Enable /Disable Preview Media Files

Internet Explorer allow previewing media files (wav, mid, avi, mov, mpg) in Windows Explorer.

How to do it:
1.Using Windows Explorer, navigate to \Windows\Web,
2.open Folder.htt in Notepad.
3.Look for wantMedia = false and replace this with wantMedia = true.

you should now be able to preview media files in folders that you viewed as a web page.


Can’t Create Folder Name

CON, AUX, COM1, COM2, COM3, COM4, LPT1, LPT2, LPT3, PRN, NUL

each one of these means something in the windows thats why u cant create them.
anyways if ur pissed and u wanna create it … read below.. it’s so simple.

We can do this by following method:

To Create.

1: goto command prompt… Start >> Run >> type Cmd
2: type in: mkdir \\.\c:\con (or any of the words above)

To Verify.

1: verify by typing: dir \\.\c:\con (or check the folder where u create it)

To Remove.

1: delete the file or folder by typing: rmdir \\.\c:\con

If you have a mouse with a scroll wheel on it, you can do some cool tricks…….

1.Shift & Spin

Ever wonder what happens when you hold down the Shift key on a web page and spin the wheel on your wheel mouse? Explorer goes either back or forward, depending on which direction you spin.

Give it a try. Open up Internet Explorer(or any other browser) and follow a few links. Then, hold down your SHIFT key and spin that wheel.

2.CTRL & Spin

If you are in a web browser (Explorer or Netscape or Firefox) , hold down your Ctrl key and spin the wheel. It makes the text larger or smaller depending on which way you spin. For Opera users, it magnifies both the images and the text
