How to Rebuild Search Indexing On Windows Vista

I faced some problem with windows vista Search option. My Windows Vista Search feature slowed down and it didn’t seem to find files. If you have the same problem, you should rebuild indexing on Windows vista.

Note: At the time of rebuilding index files, may slow down your Pc. It depends on your pc speed and Stored files. After rebuilding it should be OK.

Follow these steps to rebuild your Search index on Windows Vista:

1. Go to Start menu > Control Panel.You will see Control Panel appears in a window.

2. Click one the System and Maintenance icon then you will see Indexing Options. Click on Indexing Options icon to start it.

3. Then Click on the Advanced button and click on Rebuild button. Vista will show a message that rebuilding the index takes a long time . Click OK and wait dor vista to rebuild indexing.
