Windows Defender protects windows vista from spyware and malware. But if you use third party software to protect vista from those unwanted spyware and malware, you can disable Windows Defender. For some reason I don’t like Windows Defender. I disabled windows defender and installed better third party spyware and malware software for windows vista.

To disable Windows Defender on windows vista follow this steps :

1. Click on the Start Menu and then type services into the Start Search box.

2. Start Windows Defender from the list and click on tools from the top menu.

3. To disable Windows Defender Select Options and Uncheck Auto Start.

But make sure that you are using another ani-spyware  software to protect vista from spywares and malwares.
